Responsible for requirements analysis, system design, integration, and testing as part of astudent team designing, fabricating, and demonstrating the flight capabilities of an electric-powered, remote-controlled airplane. We aim to produce a balanced design withgood flight handling qualities and practical and affordable manufacturing requirementswhile demonstrating high vehicle performance. Our team will develop a fixed-wing UAV for AIAA's Design Build Fly 2023 competition. Our project is supported and funded by Lockheed Martin.

Under the direction of a Pool Manager or Assistant Manager, the Lifeguard III/Senior Lifeguard assists in the supervision of part-time pool personnel, assists in the directing of activities, programs, and maintenance at City aquatic facilities.In addition to regular lifeguard duties:- Receives general supervision from the Pool Manager and Assistant Pool Manager- Supervise lifeguard personnel- Manage chemical balance of the pool, including adding chemicals and operating pool machinery- Assists with minor maintenance work in the pool area- Assume responsibility for the supervision of a pool facility in the absence of Pool Manager- Assist with monitoring staff schedules- Coach youth team programs as assigned- Handle revenue closeout procedures- Perform related duties as required

- Monitoring activities in and near the water through patron surveillance. - Preventing injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors. - Enforcing facility rules and regulations and educating patrons about them. - Recognizing and responding quickly and effectively to all emergencies. - Administering first aid and CPR, including using an automated external defibrillator (AED) and, if trained, administering emergency oxygen when needed. - Working as a team with other lifeguards, facility staff, and management.

- Assist in leading structured group aquatics classes appropriate for varying levels of physical fitness and provide instruction on fundamental water-based skills- Clean and organize pool space (including equipment used) after each class- Facilitation of safe, effective, and fun water-based formats in a group setting and performs skilled tasks requiring moderate on-the-job training, specialized skills and moderate independent judgment and decision-making.

- Maintain constant surveillance of participants in the facility; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of an emergency - Enforce rules and regulations regarding pool use - Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services

- Assist with the overall management of Aquatics Instructors and instructional program operations: development, implementation, and assessment of instructional programs, including but not limited to aquatic group fitness classes, certification classes, and instructional swim programs- Assist with the recruitment, selection, training, performance evaluations, scheduling and Time & Attendance for overall supervision of Aquatics Instructors - Assist with inventory of program related equipment and training material- Assist with marketing and outreach of instructional programs- Assist with the development and implementation of orientations and trainings for Aquatic Instructors - Assist with the Aquatics’ budget tracking system and maintenance; prepares disbursement requests (DRs) and purchase order (POs), as requested, and prepares budget reports- Utilize appropriate department software and tools to complete work assignments and projects- Assist with the development and implementation of department-wide trainings, as needed - Present professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of customer service- Prepare and maintain appropriate activity reports as needed for aquatics - Recognize and respond quickly and effectively in emergencies. Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services, as needed- Perform other related duties as assigned
