My role is based on supporting the Project Coordination team in servicing large scale solar projects (100kw+) and commercial building design. • B2B relationship manager to all architects, builders and commercial solar installers• Present key educational concepts and webinar series to the clients. I managed the construction of all structural elements of the build which faced many challenges due to the heavily sloped site. Coordinated materials for each trade in accordance with the builder's instructions.Overall it taught me a lot about the work ethic and skills of tradesman within our industry and how we can overlook the complexities of putting the work together when we, as engineers, punch a few numbers and draw lines on a plan. I had the opportunity to meet some of the hardest workers on site, with great skills and craftsmanship in their respective disciplines.

Generally working in a team, the teams focus is not only to ensure the strength of the structure itself but also the different phases of construction that need to take place to physically build the finished product. The three main roles at Novo Consult as a Project Engineer consist of the preparation of Structural & Civil Plans, Computation of the design and regular site inspections. Being a consultancy firm, there are many interactions with other industry disciplines which have allowed me to gain a better understanding of the different components that come together with any Construction project.
