I managed the construction of all structural elements of the build which faced many challenges due to the heavily sloped site. Coordinated materials for each trade in accordance with the builder's instructions.Overall it taught me a lot about the work ethic and skills of tradesman within our industry and how we can overlook the complexities of putting the work together when we, as engineers, punch a few numbers and draw lines on a plan. I had the opportunity to meet some of the hardest workers on site, with great skills and craftsmanship in their respective disciplines.

The three main roles at Novo Consult as a Project Engineer consist of the preparation of Structural & Civil Plans, Computation of the design and regular site inspections. Being a consultancy firm, there are many interactions with other industry disciplines which have allowed me to gain a better understanding of the different components that come together with any Construction project.
