-Ensuring that the provisions and requirements of the contract are understood and adhered to;-Ensuring that the company’s contractual and commercial position is protected and maximized;-Establishing and maintaining an accurate measurement system to ensure that all work carried out by the company is recorded and compensated;-Identifying and evaluate any and all additional work;-Establishing and operate an accurate value related assessment of progress at the required intervals and prepare interim and final billings;-Assessing and providing accurate value related input to the financial reporting system;-Providing input and carrying out the planning function on site, depending on the size and staffing of individual contracts (and in the absence of a dedicated planner);-Maintenance of files and records; and-Various other general Quantity Surveying duties.

-Tracking, monitoring and reporting daily work-done progress-Evaluating daily performance efficiencies-Work-done valuations/measurements for preparation of monthly claim certificates-Preparation of monthly payments claims-Estimation of upcoming works-Producing estimates and quotes for variation orders and site instructions-Compiling reports on total monthly value and expenses, in preparation of the monthly profit and loss statement for the plant-Rates build-up-Negotiating with the client on commercial matters-Advising the construction managers on ways and when to cut costs-Monitoring & controlling labor, material, consumables and other direct costs -Site cost control-Tracking and monitoring sub-contractor work-done progress-Valuations of sub-contractor work done-Evaluations and adjudication of sub-contractor monthly claim certificates-Approving sub-contractor monthly claim certificates-Monitoring and controlling sub-contractor monthly labor & material cost-Producing reports on sub-contractor monthly cost for the whole project
