Nyblad Construction is a family-run renovation company, specialising in bathroom, kitchen and unit renovations on the Sunshine Coast. Since joining the family business, I have been in charge of all marketing and communication initiatives, including content creation (blog, flyers, social media, client communications), advertising (print and online) and campaign strategy and implementation. And as often required by a small family-business, I have taken on several extra “hats”, including Health and Safety aspects, COVID-Safe plan implementation as well as assisting with the introduction of a project management system to improve efficiencies and communications. I also assist with general administrative duties when needed, such as preparing building contracts, sub-contractor agreements and liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and clients.

Possibly the Best Book Club You'll Ever Join* was set up by myself and friend Lucinda Joura in February 2011. After about six months, we acquired over 200 members and now discuss books (mainly fiction) fortnightly at the Railway Hotel in Windsor over a glass of wine.

Reporting to the Assistant Training Manager – Compliance, my primary responsibility was to manage the National Workforce Development Fund (NWDF) that was obtained to assist students accessing government-subsidised training. This included setting up the reporting tools as required by the government and managing the enrolment process of NWDF students.
