Interim head of both Maritime Officer and Logistics. Managing a team of 40 highly skilled people. Concerned with day to day operation of both programs. Responsible for keeping the budget for both programs. Interacting with other programs of the Faculty. Expanding the program of Maritime Officer with an additional track: Maritime Operations. Seeking cooperation with the workfield when it comes to further defining the existing and upcoming program. For Logistics aiming at a futureproof educational program based on innovative didactics in close cooperation with the workfield. Consolidating connections with alumni and improving the program based on internal and external input. Both educational programs have, successfully, undergone the 3-yearly national audit program in 2023. In the end overall responsible of the performance of both programs on operational, tactical and strategic level.

Representative for the Faculty of Technology in HvA-wide board, discussing strategic issues that are relevant for both research and education of the University. The board is chaired by the dean of the HvA.

Besides my managerial tasks I also have a teaching position for Aviation students (all years) about topics such as disruption management, airport slots, crew planning, network planning, safety, aviation rules and regulations. Furthermore I coach students during their graduation internship at their respective companies. Companies can be airport, airline, MRO companies, ground handlers, cargo companies, forwarders, government, ATC etc.

Head of the Aviation department. An educational program based on the motto ' Operational sustainable readiness'. Managing a team of 80 lecturers and educating 1500 students. Aiming at establishing a strong relationship with the industry and involving the research department of the Aviation Academy. As of 2022 we developed an entire new curriculum, intertwining the engineering and operations part of our program. Sustainability plays a major role in the new curriculum. As head of the department responsible for staying within the budget (yearly 13mio) , maintaining a proper HRM policy, quality of educational program and keeping up relationship with the work field by networking. In the end responsible for all that concerns the team of the Aviation Academy and the organisation, on operational, tactical and strategic level.

Giving masterclasses to (non aviation) employees who work for aviaton related companies on various topics like stakeholder analysis, day-to-day operations, legal framework in aviation etc.

Team leader of a very enthousiastic, motivated and skilled team of professionals. Team leader involves supervising the logistical challenges of putting together a didactical sound program for both student and lecturer. Keeping overview of the proper content of the curriculum. Making sure the educational team is up to par, both in a qualitative and quantitative manner. Doing yearly (assessment) meetings with team members. Discussing their (personal) development and goals. Calibrating with other team leaders on various subjects. Developing a view on how to further develop the curriculum. Keeping in touch with the workfield to make sure that what we do within the Aviation Academy is aligned with the wishes of the workfield. Besides the managerial activities I also teach various topics. Teaching aviation operations related subjects to students in year 1 till 4, such as rules and regulations, crewplanning, safety courses, airline network planning etc. Furthermore supervising 3rd year students during their internships and 4th year students during their graduation internships. The latter also involves visits to the various companies that employ our students as interns.

From 2010 till 2014 I was involved in developing and implementing an audit system for law firms holding the quality mark of the foundation. Furthermore responsible for reporting within the organization, preparing meetings, maintaining external contacts, giving presentations, assessing applicants for the quality mark, following-up planned actions, helping reflect on policy, keeping the website up to date, writing/designing rules and regulations, editing the newsletter and keeping abreast of developments within the personal injury world..

Company counselor for harassment on the workfloor. From 2007 till 2010 on a ZZP basis.

The day-to-day (24/7) management of the Operations Control department of a fleet of 23 aircraft). The purpose was to manage disruptions in the flight schedule and minimize their impact. Duties included monitoring fleet movements, dove-tailing internal and external provision of information, initiating procedures in the event of emergencies, assessing and limiting (negative) commercial consequences, managed a team of 5 senior staff of the Operational Control Centre, coordination and alignment of the various operational departments. As a Duty manager provided support to 2 project managers with respect to various tasks and the participation to various work groups for ‘operational input’.

Providing guidance to all operational services. Responsible as the pivotal contact for checking, adjusting and communicating disrupted flight operations.

Responsible for the operational management of flight crews and providing specialist advice on schedule changes and legal regulations.

Worked within a team of 3 lawyers, for drafting new air traffic regulations and monitoring the progress of the various projects.
