I currently work to deliver pre-planned and reactive maintenance to the FMGC system at Ocado while working at height and using a variety of access equipment. The role consists of diagnosing equipment breakdowns and resolving issues effectively to complete repairs. I supporting the team in analysing engineering failures and finding solutions to improve mechanical handling equipment performance. My work is logged using a computerised maintenance management system.

Singapore

As a fifth engineer on board I was responsible for using my own knowledge and expertise to effectively manage and upkeep specialised equipment onboard the vessel. I reported to the Chief Engineer, and maintained an excellent safety culture at all times. I gained hands on experience in maintaining air compressor units and undertook active maintenance on liquefied gas tankers while sailing. It was within my role to ensure cleaning station tasks and safety procedures were followed according to company policies.
