* Worked with a small team responsible for providing complete IT services for many clients around Edmonton and Western Canada. Supported everything from Small Business Server (SBS) clients to larger clients with multiple servers and over 70 remote sites connected via VPN. * Provided sales, setup, installation, servicing, troubleshooting, and helpdesk services for our clients; assisted them remotely, through onsite visits and over the phone; acting as their entire “IT Department”.* Supported a wide variety of computer and network systems, from NT 4 to Server 2003, Exchange 5.5 to 2007. Many of our clients had custom applications written by Kennedy Solutions’ developers requiring special support.* Performed countless SBS upgrades to newer SBS servers, or migrations to separate DC, File Server, Exchange servers with all sorts of custom and third-party applications (many involving SQL) needing to be moved.

* Responsible for the day-to-day server, network, and desktop support for sites in Edmonton and several surrounding areas. Worked independently but as part of a larger Canadian IT team; ensured that each site’s servers were functioning well and the employees able to complete their work with wireline and oilfield production systems.* Supported a variety of technologies from Windows NT / Server 2000 and Exchange 2000 systems, separate LDAP, Active Directory and NT domains (due to several acquisitions), different ERP packages and employee work styles. Acting as a Local Registration Authority for the PKI infrastructure, administering Entrust with Smartcards systems.* Before Schlumberger purchased the DBR Group of Companies: Supported DBR’s Edmonton and remote locations, in the Southern US, and maintained the network as the primary desktop/server support for all employees.
