First as a sales & marketing professional and then as a sell-side Equity Research analyst, I had the wonderful opportunity to get a three-sixty-degree view of the Indian Consumer sector for thirteen years. After a decade well spent in sell-side, I shifted to the buy-side in 2017. At PineBridge Investments, I was part of the phenomenal team at PineBridge India equity fund (AUM of $1bn+ and consistently rated as 4/5 star by Morning Star) covering a wide variety of sectors (Consumer staples, Retail, Home Improvement, Technology services, Internet, and mid-caps). At PineBridge, I was able to sharpen my investment philosophy, build a differentiated research methodology and develop a good understanding of the Indian market apart from broadening and strengthening my understanding of coverage sectors.Now as a Managing Partner at Tenex Capital and Sama Capital, I intend to grow our proprietary capital and more importantly continue to enjoy the journey.
