Wastewater Treatment System Operations ManualDrafted an operations manual for the activated sludge wastewater treatment system – included an in-depth study of the system process, description of facilities, monitoring plan, maintenance practices, process monitoring and control, and safety practices. Developed a new unit continuous monitoring plan which included sampling and testing for thirteen different parameters at five different locations at the major terminal facility. Collected samples, analyzed the results, and interpreted the results to create meaningful operational targets for the facility. Calculated various parameters for the system, including food to microorganism ratio, hydraulic residence time, and sludge depth.Phillips 66 Midstream Environmental Sampling Field GuideCreated a company-wide, pocket-sized field guide to equip field personnel with environmental sampling techniques. Studied and improved the sampling techniques used for (1) soil: wet, dry, contaminated, (2) water: pre-discharge, discharge, hydro test, (3) other types of media: NORM, spent blast media, lead contamination, asbestos.

Process EngineeringDetermined the best sites for infield compression, and determined which production facilities, or Central Delivery Points (CDP), would be consolidated to the future compressor sites. Modeled eight future compressor sites, forecasted the uplift in production caused by lowering line pressure using compression, and designed consolidation pipeline systems. Created a hydraulic pipeline model that included all future compressors and consolidation pipelines. Evaluated a wet gas (saturated natural gas) vs 3-phase pipeline system (gas, condensate, water) based on production rates and line pressure values calculated from the pipeline model.Environmental EngineeringCalculated emissions associated with installing compression and consolidating existing facilities. Optimized air permitting to cover NOx credits needed for consolidation and compression. Modeled the emissions produced from the production units and tanks. Generated economic and sizing models using BRE ProMax software
