Dr. Santanu Mandal currently works as an Associate Professor and he is the former Dean for the last 4.5 years (2019-2023) and former HoD Mathematics for the last 5 years (2017-2022) at the School of Advanced Sciences (SAS), VIT-AP University, India. He has completed Ph.D. from Jadavpur University, India in NeuroDynamical Systems. He has more than 16 years of teaching experience. His current research interests are Fractional Nonlinear Dynamics, Neuromorphic Computing, Synchronization & Control, Neural Networks, Secure Communication, Machine Learning & Robotics. He has published several research papers and 10 Indian patents (one Granted). He secured UGC Minor Project and received a National level winner award for Agri Hackathon from ICAR, Central Govt. India, two Gold Awards in INEX INDIA 2022 from Goa state Govt. India and 5 institution-level awards. He is currently guiding 5 full-time Ph.D. research scholars (One scholar- Ph.D. Awarded in June 2023) and more than 15 UG&PG students are working on about 10 product development projects and many research papers (ML, Machine vision, Image encryption, Agritech product development, energy, healthcare etc.) and his research team are dedicated for research and product development at incubation centre of VIT-AP University. He has organised more than 4 International Conferences (as convener/co-convener), many workshops, FDPs, and national & international level events.
