Asian Insurance International is an association of now three indigenous Asian Insurance Companies, namely; Asia Insurance Co. Ltd. (Hong Kong), Bangkok Insurance Public Co. Ltd. (Thailand) and P. T. Asuransi Central Asia (Indonesia). All three constituent members are well-established leading insurance groups in their respective countries of incorporation, strongly capitalised, soundly managed, having extensive business connections, and consistent record of development and profitability. Their respective panels of shareholders also testify to their international standing. Parent companies, fellow subsidiaries, and associates of all members engage in all facets of financial services including insurance, banking, investments and stock-broking in U.S.A., Japan, China, Hong Kong and throughout the Asean countries.Asian Insurance International is partly based on cross-equity holding, but it principally traces its origin to shared values and common vision. Other than rendering mutual territorial support, the three members have a long and successful record of co-operation in undertaking international ventures. So as to better identify this association, the trade-name of "Asian Insurance International" was adopted in early 1996.
