While most of my peers were out celebrating their 21st birthday at bars back home, I was leading soldiers on convoys in Iraq just as I was turning 21 years old. While I was there, I thought about how I was behind the curve because everyone was going to graduate college before me. But despite the late start, I finished my tour and went to the University of Oregon just after I turned 22, and 5 years later I graduated. The first in my family to do so. I am currently the Troop Commander for A 2-15 CAV, a 19D Cavalry Scout One Station Unit Training Troop based out of Fort Benning, GA.I’m well-versed in finance, marketing, planning and development, relationship management, operations, and logistics coordination and scheduling.
