Since July, 2018 I am working as Procurement Expert for execution of National Hydrology Project (NHP) financed by the World Bank. Objective of the project is to improve the extent, quality, and accessibility of water resources information, decision support system for floods and basin level resource assessment/planning and to strengthen the capacity of targeted water resources professionals and management institutions in India. Project cost is US $ 350 million. I am providing all procurement related assistance to 17 out of 49 Implementing Agencies of the project. My role consist of coordination between IAs and Ministry, Project Planning, Annual Work Plan, Procurement Plan, Review of Bidding document, Bid evaluation report and advising IAs in all procurement related issues.Apart from procurement related activities I am involved in capacity development of staff of all the Implementing Agencies of the Project.

• Preparing drawings and estimates for various civil/electrical works• Procurement of Works and Equipment under internationally funded Projects (World Bank’s NATP and NAIP project) for IT projects.More than nine years experience with World Bank procurement policies, procedures and guidelines, while Overseeing procurement of works, equipment and Services under internationally funded projects (World Bank’s NAIP project) through ICB, NCB, National shopping by Inviting tenders as per World Bank Guidelines.Activities performed: (i) Preparing Procurement Plans for each Project, (ii) Providing assistance to the Project Implementation Agencies in determination of procurement requirements such as Terms of Reference, generic technical specifications for procurement of goods, works and consultancy services, (iii) preparation of bidding documents and Request For Proposals for World Bank Financed Projects, (iv) Review the commercial perspective and technical inputs, (v) Preparing Invitations for Bids and advertising, (vi) Issue Bidding documents, (vii) arranging and participating in pre-bid conference, (viii) Participate in Bid Openings, (ix) Undertake Bid Evaluation, (x) Providing Bid Clarifications, (xi) obtaining World Bank approval by way of No-objection letter, (xiii) preparing and issuing notification of contract awards, (xiv) preparing contract agreements, and (xv) participate in contract negotiations, and undertake publication of contract awards in accordance with the World Bank Guidelines and (xvi) Record Keeping, monitoring, handling complaints and clarifications, and (xviii) Reporting requirements, (xix) Supervision and execution of procurement, (xx) Getting the procurement Audited by World Bank appointed Auditors.Projects executed for GOI: Some of the major projects executed are:1.
