Get the mouldbase & std. elements quotation from vendors, negotiate as per my costing and give clearance to purchase for proceed further. ⮚ Soft machining and heat treatment of core and cavity elements as well as child parts⮚ Estimating machining and assembly time involved in tool & Estimate Tool manufacturing cost.⮚ Make machine schedule as per estimated timeline plan & daily monitor⮚ Make Wire cutting drawing & cam programming.⮚ Assemble new mould with co-ordination of tool maker & trainee, check mould blue matching.⮚ Final inspection of mould as per highlighted in part drawing, verify mould functioning with new tool checklist, make air vent report, cooling line drawing⮚ Attending the trial & list out the defects on the component. Online Trouble shoots the defects with suitable remedies & moulding parameter setting.⮚ Hand over the approved mold to production and monitor the tool life.⮚ Carrying out Tool Preventive Maintenance as per schedule.⮚ Negotiation with suppliers to meet customer’s price target and development lead time. ⮚ Cost Reduction initiatives to reduce the mold cost.⮚ Vendor management for outsourced components/tools.⮚ Supplier Quality Audit to ensure the quality of outsourced activities⮚ Getting done Mold Flow Analysis using Moldex software for all tools before manufacturing
