Identify and select vendors to procure products and services meeting criteria of price, quality, quantity, availability, and delivery dates and places orders. Analyze departmental purchase requisitions for complete and accurate information. Contacting department or initiator to clarify and complete information as required. Determining method needed to process requisition such as bid, request for proposal, or blanket contract. Negotiations and contracting related to all procurements. Liaising with key stakeholders, Finance and Legal to finalize Purchase Orders / Contracts, Check inventory before purchasing, Ensure compliance with Indian laws and regulations serving as primary liaison to legal counsel in addressing legal issues unique to the India unit in consultation with the CFOInterpret and communicate purchasing procedures and policies to departments, vendors and staff, also understands and manage the expectations of all the key stakeholders. Interview business users and research companies to develop new sources of supplies, consolidate and rationalize suppliers where applicable Draft and distribute bid invitations or requests for proposal, receives and analyzes quotes, bids, and proposals, and awards the contract.
