I was the global head of the ~100 clinical scientists working on Novartis Global Drug Development (GDD) studies towards clinical excellence in study design, data review and reporting.Over the 1.5 years in the role, I continued in the hiring and talent management for the group, by growing the team by about 40% in number and supporting approximately 60% more work. I successfully provided oversight in getting the group support newer therapeutic areas, including Novartis Oncology studies as well as take up additional functional deliverables like study document writing and clinical reviews.As part of the Novartis India GDD Leadership team and contributed to several Hyderabad level initiatives including leading a working group defining GDD talent strategy.Due to my interest in leadership development, I was also a facilitator for Novartis First Line Leadership training; Over the course of 2 years, I delivered a total of 6 sessions, helping ~150 Novartis people managers and matrix leaders learn and practice several management and leadership skills.
