I recently added a new career choice: Real Estate Agent. I received my license In Sept 2013. Trying something new ;-)IT focus---------I have held positions of increasing responsibility. Software development has been my main focus. I also worked within the Data Communications and Networking development areas. Later, I held Project leadership positions which led to positions of team management.Early in my career, I was principally a software engineer. My first position was with a mainframe computer system corporation. This position gave me insights into a wide breadth of computer technologies. I learned hardware and software systems. I also gained system oriented knowledge.I have had Experience with mainframe, minicomputer systems, Sun and Linux based servers. I also have experience working in a Service Provider Corporation. Finally, I have worked within a pure networking equipment company. I have extensive UNIX (Solaris) and Database (Oracle) experience.As a manager, I have expertise in people management; Expertise with managing remote teams; working with internal and external customers; Understand the business processes that deal with team coordination and release management. I have worded in complex environments where changes occur often and rapidly. The teams I managed provided support for software build systems for a 5,000 engineer user base. I have been responsible for equipment procurement for system upgrades.
