Santosh Shidhaye currently serves as the Head of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) at Ecofy, India's exclusive green-only NBFC dedicated to supporting environmentally benign and climate-positive segments. With over 30 years of expertise, he guides the convergence of corporate sustainability, strategy, change management, and renewable energy in his leadership role at Ecofy.As a British Chevening scholar, he received training in the UK, and then attended a few other short-term courses in the USA and Canada. complemented by select international assignments in Sri Lanka, Egypt, and the UAE. Santosh has held pivotal roles in private sector organizations, demonstrating steady career growth.Before joining Ecofy, Santosh served as the Head of Environment and Sustainability at Navi Mumbai International Airport. In this role, he oversaw impactful projects, emphasizing socio-environmental impact assessment, rigorous monitoring plans, tree transplantation, LEED goldpreparation, and carbon footprint reduction.Since 2019, Santosh is volunteering in Agri training institute in capacity of honorary Jt. Secretary of Uttan Krishi Sanshodhan Sanstha. Before that, he served as the Chief Sustainability Officer at IL&FS Transportation Networks Limited, where he spearheaded EHS functions, safety management plans, and sustainability strategies for various infrastructure projects. His expertise extended to environmental and social due diligence, E&S safeguards audits, implementation of CSR projects, and supervision of EC/EIA/MoEF interactions.He brings extensive experience in the private sector MSME domains, spanning hospitality, textile wet processing, tannery, paper and pulp, and distillery sectors. He has successfully overseen advisory initiatives centered on circular economy, waste-to-energy projects, low carbon transition, carbon neutrality, and net-zero planning. His expertise extends to wastewater treatment, water reclamation, and ensuring industrial energy safety at the cluster level. This involves conducting thorough studies on energy audits, energy mix, and energy consumption patterns.Santosh, an accomplished academic and IIT Kanpur alumnus holds an M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering. With a NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, he excels in both Safety and Sustainability. Beyond his professional endeavors, Santosh actively volunteers with an NGO in Maharashtra, specializing in agriculture and livelihood training for tribal students.
