Key responsibilities:- Implementation of a modern website consisting of reliable and robust engine calibration solutions to process, model and visualize data for combustion and electrified projects.- Document engine calibration methodologies.- Design Graphical User Interfaces to support calibration engineers in data analysis and decision making on a day-to-day basis.

This project target was the study oil well positioning strategies through computational modeling aiming to support action in exploration and production activities. The fundamental tool used was MRST - Matlab Reservoir Simulation Toolbox, a software that brings together several computational modules that follow the traditional reservoir modeling workflow.The methodology involves positioning wells in pre-selected regions using hydraulic flow unit - HFU's identification techniques, the creation of 3D corner-point grid meshes, the configuration of rock-fluid model and also the numerical simulation of three-phase flows of water-gas-oil. Tests were performed on known synthetic models to compare and validate the proposed new production arrangements.This project was developed at the Petroleum Engineering Modelling Laboratory - LaMEP (today known as TRIL) at the Federal University of Paraiba's informatics center, funded by the Brazilian Association of Engineering and Mechanical Sciences – ABCM.

Key responsibilities:- Guide the airplane performance project from initial scope to the final outputs, aiming to achieve a robust and reliable airplane with optimum performance during the whole flight envelope.- Manage key meetings with other team members to technically discuss about the engineering and deliverable dates, to keep project going on date.- Create an engine bench to measure engine power under different circumstances as wind speed or propeller. This allowed the team to choose the best engine/propeller combination in terms of power generation.- Write MATLAB scripts to evaluate airplane performance during all flight phases. ie. take off, rolls, cruise, landing and taxing.This group started with very young engineering students on their first weeks at university. At the end, during competition we achieved the best evaluations among other subteams and also the best engine performance of the whole project history at that time.
