As an architecture student with experience in the field, I have honed my critical thinking abilities and developed a passion for exploring innovative design concepts.In my first year of study at Architectural Association, I completed six design briefs, each of them challenging and critical in itself. One of my favourite parts was studying Eisenman House X where I also learnt the importance of positive and negative spaces in design. My investigation of Kengo Kuma’s Nest We Grow further sparked my interest in form and materiality. Before starting my part 1 studies at AA, I interned at an Architecture firm Charged Voids, where I worked on real-world design challenges and gained hands-on experience in varied media, including model making, graphic design tools, photography, and casting. I have also gained practical experience as an IT Support Staff at AA. There I provide technical support to students and ensure school computers and printers were up-to-date with the latest softwares.Currently, I am in Second year of my studies and pursuing Intermediate 17. I am working on an urban design unit titled Amphibious Architecture. In this studio, I am designing a socializing space for recalibration of mind that sits under the ground for the new flood resilient Red Hook in New York.Through my experiences, I have developed a strong understanding of the design process and the importance of creating functional and environmental friendly spaces. I am dedicated to exploring new design concepts and pushing boundaries to create innovative and sustainable solutions.
