Project: TA-XPLORE (SAC Dashboard)Data is extracted from Smart Recruiters, the Global Talent Acquisition application used by Anglo American across all their Business Units.More than 120 Tallent Acquisition KPIs are calculated on the fly in HANA’s In-Memory technology and passed to SAC via a Live Connection. This functionality allows for complete data transparency and versatile data analysis. Business can see the different KPIs calculated at any reporting dimension of their choice. Business can filter on any value on any of the charts. The selected value will filter all related charts, and the user continues to drill down by selecting a more detailed reporting dimension. The user repeats the process until the Requisitions/Jobs are displayed in a table, providing complete transparency in calculating every KPI.The user jumps directly into the source system by clicking on the Document Number. The relevant document opens in Smart Recruiters for further investigation.Thresholds with RAG (Red And Green) highlighting help to identify KPIs that deviate from targets and require further investigation.Heatmaps measuring the process steps over a long period helps identify which processes largely deviate when things go wrong.One business unit experienced a reduction from 5 days to 5 minutes to compile their monthly reporting pack.

BMW LUP-O Global Template Development & ImplementationBedarfs BeKoSt LUP-O Project (2020 –2022)I am the Backend Team Lead and System Architect, deciding on technologies to minimize development time while maximizing maintainability. I am also responsible for a design that maximizes scalability, performance, and operational ease. This application rates as one of the top-five-sensitive-data-applications within BMW Group. Data consistency, transparency, and date-change-traceability are of utmost importance. Data accuracy is crucial as the decisions relying on this data amount to €60 billion annually.The central buyers use Bedarfs BeKoSt during purchasing agreements negotiating for components used in the manufacturing process, up to 15+ years in the future. The application receives data from several source systems. Master Data is stored in its raw format and mapped to harmonized application Master Data. Transaction Data is versioned and stored in its raw format. The main business entities in the Transaction Data are harmonized to the application Master Data, and values aggregated. The data is versioned again, allowing for adjustments to be made to MD Attributes and values. The values then get distributed, allowing for another adjustment opportunity.An Official Scenario is created, bringing all the different versions together. Once a scenario is released, it is locked and can never be changed. There are also Project Scenarios and Simulations for what-if-analysis. Users can create multiple simulations, which can later be published for reporting.The backend does the heavy lifting of all this functionality. The application uses SAP BW 7.5 on HANA 2.0 on the Backend and a JavaScript Frontend (BW/4HANA rollout to only start 2021). Backend and Frontend communication is done via REST-based OData Services using JSON data-interchange format.Due to the sensitive nature of the data, this application's functionality will not be discussed in detail.

BMW Group IT: SAP Shared Service Centre, South Africa, Business Intelligence, Data WarehousingBMW After Sales Global Template Development & ImplementationI was a team member of the ILAS Project, the biggest BW/BI Project in the history of the BMW Group to date. The project was moved from a European Consulting House to the BMW SAP Shared Service Centre in South Africa. I was one of the initial key developers, delivering the second work package successfully, which was a key factor in securing the ILAS project for the SAP Shared Service Centre in South Africa. We successfully delivered all the modules used by the global BMW After Sales Department, replacing the Legacy Data Warehouse. The Agile Project Management Methodology ensured greater adaptability to frequently changing scope through short iterative Development Life Cycles with daily interactions with the Product Owners in Germany.I was the architect and developer of the BI Time Zone Conversion Framework which enabled aligning and comparing overlapping perspectives of different timelines for KPI and management reporting. Later I also fulfilled the position of Design Authority, introducing Development Standards, Development Scoring Matrix for Gateways, System Stability Guidelines and Active Measures to ensure an optimal Solution and System.
