As MD, Leadership Development, I am the primary success partner for ensuring that a cohort of CMs and incoming CMs are positioned to access what they need in order to impact our 10 year goal, and enter alumnihood with a clear vision for how they can continue to contribute to One Day from the matriculation phase through their two year commitment. I lead the development of an individualized and customized plan of support for each corps member, drawing on their strengths, interests, and needs to propel them towards exceptional results with their students in their classrooms.

As dean of student, my primary role is the creation and management of school-wide systems that ensure positive school culture, climate, and improved student attendance. To fulfill these initiatives, it is important that I collaborate with my principal, assistant principal, staff members, teachers, families, and students. Some of my essential functions include engaging students in significant culture and climate activities that provide them with opportunities to apply their learning in meaningful context, such as resiliency building empathy, anger management, decision making, problem solving, and self-assessment.

As an academic dean I supported GreenTree Preparatory Academy in the following ways: transformational coaching, use of data to inform instruction and improve of student outcomes, and planning and providing of professional development aligned to the district and school's professional development plan. I also secured partnerships, implemented projected based learning, and worked infuse the Seven Skills for Success in all areas of our school building.

As the leader of the ENL department at Bronx School for Law Government, my primary responsibility as a teacher was to increase understanding and usage of the English language through reading, writing, speaking and listening. My lessons were tailored to meet the needs of varying language levels. They were also relatable, showing real world connections to the course content. In addition to teaching, I prepared professional development sessions that provided in depth knowledge on how to plan for ENL students, administered yearly language proficiency exams, served a critical role when intaking students, and helped to foster a community of inclusivity as it related to language learners.

As a corps members I committed 11 months of service to Brooklyn, NY community. During this time I worked directly with students as tutors, peer mentors, and role models. I also worked one on one with students, assist with after-school programs, and provide support to teachers in classrooms.
