Hydrocracker Unit - Process Engineer / Concept Engineer
In my previous role as a Hydrocracker Unit Process Engineer, I was responsible for monitoring and analyzing key performance parameters of various units, including Yield, Quality, Energy Efficiency, Production and Loss Accounting, in order to identify process improvements and address any gaps.Additionally, I monitored unit operations, sampling and analysis, mass balance, furnace efficiency, and utility balance to ensure optimal performance. I also prepared daily unit process monitoring and monthly unit performance reports, conducted quarterly internal check-runs, and established laboratory testing schedules for routine and monthly unit performance checks.I played a critical role in conducting Process Guarantee Test Runs for the Hydrocracker Unit and prepared management plans for off-spec reprocessing. As part of my responsibilities, I also participated in HAZOP studies for unit modifications and reviewed closeout reports.Furthermore, I supported the unit during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities, while making proactive recommendations for improving unit yields and optimizing energy consumption.As an experienced engineer, I identified and selected the Catalyst Licensor for the Hydrocracker Unit, while performing techno-economic evaluations. In addition, I prepared and managed the contract bidding process for the refinery waste management system.Finally, I led the development and implementation of the Energy Accounting Model for the Hydrocracker and Diesel Hydrotreater Units, which enabled better tracking and optimization of energy consumption. My role as an Application and Sales Engineer required me to be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative in order to optimize unit performance and drive business growth.
