Lead the embassy media team, setting the communications strategy and priorities •Manage the UK brand and senior leadership’s media profile on conventional and social media, advising on press handling, statements, and briefings for journalists etc.•Agree core scripts and top lines, working across the Embassy, with embassies in the region, with the Foreign Office in London etc. to ensure messages are clear and coordinated.•Work across the embassy to proactively plan media involvement on priority work, in sectors including education, entrepreneurship, and healthcare.•Develop and deliver strategic media plans for VIP visits to Egypt, including a regular stream of ministerial visits and trade missions•Develop creative ideas for public diplomacy events and campaigns•Develop and maintain a diverse and strong network of media contacts •Provide in-depth, high quality written and oral analysis.•Play an active role in embassy crisis response planning.•Act as spokesperson for the embassy as needed
