About Sara Anders-Mcdowell
I am currently a first year Aerospace Engineering Masters student at the University of Washington with experience in the aerospace field. I am an NCAS (NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars) alumni, and have worked with SolidWorks, NX Siemens, Microsoft Office, LaTeX, PHP, Java, MATLAB, Simulink, and more. I consider technical writing to be one of my strong suits. Recently I was involved in NASA’s L’SPACE program, working as the project manager and mechanical engineer for the team. Additionally, I was also on the University of Washington’s Aeronautics and Astronautics CubeSat group. There, I served as the Guidance, Navigation, and Control team lead. For my senior project at UW, I worked on a cold-gas propulsion system for Husky Satellite Lab’s CubeSat. During the summer of 2023, I went on-site to NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center for an internship that gave me experience in propulsion engineering, as well as software development and data analysis.
