I am starting my PhD project at the University of Bristol on "Combining light and bacteria to design cheap and sustainable methods of arsenic and uranium removal from drinking water sources". James Byrne is my supervisor and my co-supervisors are: Tim Elliott, Casey Bryce, and Ben Bostick.I hope my PhD project can help build a meaningful collaboration with the local Native American communities and combat heavy metal groundwater contamination. My overall ambition is to do research in climate change resiliency, sustainability, and environmental protection. This PhD project will help me achieve my long-term goals and help make a positive impact in different communities.
