The Young Children’s Assessment and Treatment Services (YCATS) offers a variety of outpatient mental health and therapeutic services to young children and their families, including intensive group therapy, family and individual counseling, group psychotherapy, occupational therapy, infant mental health counseling, and early childhood mental health consultation. Children receiving services are those exhibiting a primary behavior or social emotional problem and may have secondary developmental problems. Important aspects of care include appropriate, accurate, and timely prevention, diagnostic, and intervention services. The YCATS services are provided from varied disciplines and in a variety of settings ranging from center-based to home, school and community-based.

•Provide counseling for a full range of student issues including educational, vocational, and behavioral.•Provide dyadic counseling, small group counseling, classroom guidance and school-wide guidance programs.•Provide career counseling and development.•Provide an understanding of the role that diversity of culture, race, and religion play in the school and community. •Adhere to ASCA standards and guidelines. •Conduct anger management, social skills, and organizational/study skills groups.•Involvement in special education meetings, assessments, and interventions.•Administer, score and interpret educational assessments.•Provide consultation with school staff, families, and the surrounding community.•Develop and implement social, educational and vocational programs.

•Counsel students on current and future academic/career related issues.•Advise college students on their academic program.•Monitor proficiency testing and evaluate past courses.•Design programs based on demonstrated proficiencies and past academic credits.•Responsible for completing all students’ schedules before each academic quarter.•Interview and evaluate incoming students’ backgrounds and design degree plans appropriate to student’s desires/qualifications.•Follow up with students each week on all advanced standing choices and adjust schedules as needed.•Compose correspondences that adhere to academic policies including accreditation licensing for state and federal regulations.
