Alongside this consultant team and their nonprofit clients nationwide, she contributes to work in developing strategic plans, communication strategies, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives that will co-create positive, meaningful, and sustainable change.Prior to forming her independent agency, Sara served as associate vice president of communications and advocacy at Indiana Afterschool Network (IAN) for 12 years. In this position, she was the leader of numerous IAN initiatives, including overseeing 10 annual statewide conferences, communications strategy and implementation, and advocacy strategy and implementation at both the state and national levels.Sara was a White-Riley-Peterson Policy Fellow, a Journey Executive Fellow, and an Indiana Arts Commission Individual Artist grant recipient. She holds her master's degree from the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University, Bloomington. She has completed continuing education at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education with the Project Zero Classroom Institute and the Maine Media Workshops in documentary and storytelling courses.
