Simply good cheese and yoghurt for the past 18 years.Together our family have founded and developed Maleny Cheese, Georges Yoghurt and Obi Obi Dairy to be successful privately owned dairy businesses on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland Australia.We are a culturally diverse family dairy with a vision for success and prosperity for our team members, our dairy farm business, and the businesses we supply and serve.My carer focus has always been people and culture and project implementation. My special interests include safety, quality, human resources and marketing. Prior to these roles, I trained professionally as a registered nurse and took up roles in leading implementation in new programs in the area of rehabilitation and aged care.Within Maleny Cheese I take great pride in the team I have helped develop within our award-winning café and production area. Opening opportunities for our staff to access further training and education has also been of great personal satisfaction, as I myself continue my commitment to life-long learning.Within the Obi Obi Dairy business I drive safety change across our dairy farming team. Until January 2022, we have not had any WorkCover incidents across any of our three businesses for over 2 years. Fortunately that one event in January resulted in a person returning to work a day later. I take pride in having lead the implementation of these system and processes changes in the area of human resources and workplace health and safety and continue to strive for excellence through continuous learning and encouragement of our team members.Balancing these interests, I make time to serve our local community through my founding directorship of FAN and Light Horse re-enacting. FAN (Food Agribusiness Network Limited Sunshine Coast) connects our regions diverse agribusiness sectors with the world and networks our varied industries. Riding in the Australian 5th Light Horse, Maleny Troop for the past 18 years I enjoy training and preparing my horse for public parades and giving back to our community by celebrating Australian courage and team work.
