With over 10 years of experience in the food, beverage and hospitality industry I have gained a lot more knowledge far past the basics of food and beverage. I was given so many amazing opportunities with my last employer and I made sure to take advantage of these opportunities and gained many amazing skills. I started as a server and they saw something special in me and pushed me to reach greater parts of myself. Then I became an intern with the catering team which was a fun and informative summer. The next year they asked me to manage a new attraction to the club which was a food truck, this is where I feel my skills and abilities multiplied as the food truck always started my day of with a new problem to solve. I also learned how to manage others which was something that always scared me however my natural leadership came out to help me succeed in the role. I really found a knack for sales when I started bartending, it became a game with myself to see how much I could up sell with my knowledge of all the liquor and food we serve. My abilities to connect with customers was something that helped me not only make amazing connections with very influential people but it also has made me one of highest selling employees.
