Serve as a liaison between Royal Canin and UCD School of Veterinary Medicine. Coordinate and organize the Royal Canin University Pet Food Program, and work with a co-ambassador to organize “Lunch and Learns” with the university to educate peers about Royal Canin diets and veterinary nutrition.

Responsible for conducting diagnostic tests, administering medications, monitoring surgical procedures, communicating with clients to provide estimates and describe medical care, maintaining accurate medical records, and effectively managing emergencies alongside a team of technicians and veterinarians.

Co-designed and executed an experimental study aimed at investigating the impact of dogs on human-cat interactions for a senior thesis project. Wrote and submitted a successful grant proposal, presented the project at the International Society of Anthrozoology Conference, and published March 2024 in the Human Animal Interactions Journal.

Reviewed UC Davis veterinary medicine files to compile information about the age of spay/neuter surgeries and the onset of various diseases in Huskies with the goal of informing neuter decisions for the breed as it relates to future disease onset. Gained technical experience organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing a large data set using Google Sheets.

Collaborated with a team to craft an ethogram and determine the most efficient methods for coding dog behaviors from online-sourced videos. Independently coded numerous videos to record and describe behaviors of dogs reacting to common household noises, such as smoke alarms and vacuums, in order to provide commentary on welfare issues.

Responsible for performing DNA extractions, analyzing statistical data from SNPs, designing DNA primers, running PCRs and gel electrophoresis, and analyzing genome-wide association study data.

Responsible for teaching private clients how to float and swim independently, along with how to stay safe in and around the water.
