Having grown up in the agricultural industry, with a foundation on the 4-H, FFA, and Agricultural Youth Leadership Programs, have helped me to develop a passion to serve the agricultural industry. I am a highly motivated and driven individual who is comfortable working individually as well as in a team setting. I am driven by goals. I am dedicated, extremely focused and well organized. I am a graduate of South Dakota State University- Brookings, with a degree in Agricultural Business and Animal Sciense. I am active with many organizations including a Minnesota 4-H Volunteer, Nicollet County 4-H Volunteer, Minnesota Farm Bureau, MN Rabbit Breeders Association, National Mini Rex Rabbit Club, and Midwest Mini Rex Club. I am owner of Compart’s Mini Rex, a business that was started in 2000. Compart’s Mini Rex is a 200 cage rabbitry where I raise, show, and breed Mini Rex rabbits. I am a Registrar with the American Rabbit Breeders Association.I enjoy judging 4-H rabbit shows and helping with youth educational clinics. Starting and running a successful and financially stable small business has brought me everyday business experience and a strong perspective on the current business climate. I feel that this real life business experience, coupled with my agricultural education at SDSU has transformed me into the valuable, well rounded person that I am.
