About Sara Coplai

Let's work together across sectors on the pursuit and application of assets to improve the social drivers of health. I have a proven track record in strategic partnership development and resource procurement for government entities, nonprofits and other business partners ranging from grassroots organizations to top 15 health systems. Currently I am applying economic modeling based on social mobility data in part from Opportunity Atlas, Appalachian Regional Commission and other partners to help the Appalachian Transition accelerate during rebuilding from Covid-19 impacts. Projects to build wealth with women in poverty are also of special interest. Along with other Appalachian-based funders, we are using the current opportunity to advocate for advancing health equity by addressing systemic issues that affect under-served populations while empowering communities to take the lead in finding solutions to their health needs. My applied experience with a variety of project development activities includes: • Collaborative Project Development • Equitable Economic Development Strategizing• Grant Writing• Operational Efficiency and Optimization Studies• Fund Leveraging, including Strategic Impact Investing• Policy Review/Benchmarking/Agreement Support• Fintech Project Integration• Outsourcing Evaluation and Vendor Selection• Sustainability Planning• Learning and supporting culturally respectful practices in multi-cultural environments.2024 project successes will provide neighborhood revitalization to reverse gentrification and increase community wealth; urgent home repair; medical care for uninsured and underinsured people; access to medical equipment and supplies; telehealth; and affordable workforce development housing.
