Conducting a participatory needs assessment in Nyal (South Sudan) for the formulation of an agriculture development project on behalf of the German NGO Sign of Hope. The needs assessment included meetings with local authorities, focus group discussions with the local community using participatory methodologies, and a joint meeting with representatives of local communities to share results of the assessment.

Researcher for the South Sudan case study as part of the EU-funded project “Grabbing Development. Towards new models of north/south relations for a fair exploitation of natural resources”.The research was conducted in two locations of Central Equatoria State in South Sudan and was based on key stakeholders interviews, focus group discussions with local communities and direct observation of investment sites. It produced a report entitled: "South Sudan. A dark and thick forest of foreign investments: Central Equatoria Teak Company case study".
