Im a swim coach for the Walnut Creek Aquabears at Heather Farms community pool. I was an Aquabear swimmer starting at the age of 8 years old and still swim with the team. In high school, I swam for Northgate (years 2007-2010) and competed at the North Coast Championships all four years. After graduating high school, I got a scholarship to swim for Indiana University and go to school there in the years of (2010-2013). Won the BIG 10 championships year of (2010-2011), also had qualified to swim at my first D1 NCAA Championships my freshman year in 2011. Summer of 2011, qualified myself to swim at the 2012 Summer Olympic Trials and competed in the 50 meter free. Summer of 2011, I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. In November of 2011, I under went surgery. Giving people hope to never give up what they love to pursue. For me that's swimming! Taking each day one day at a time. I teach age group one 8 and under swimmers the basic stroke techniques and competing at meets at a young age.
