Major Acheivements:- Development of a technically challenging bone marrow cell maturation assay supporting a major milestone transition for the project. Co-recipient of an innovation award for this work.- Development of technique to culture lung microvascular endothelial cells from human donors.- Main contact for a major academic collaboration - coordinating receipt & processing of human tissue, including preparation of microvascular endothelial cells & bronchial epithelial cells from diseased tissue.- Competitor Intelligence (CI) contact for the COPD group - condensing & presenting relevant CI supplied by Information Scientists to quartery COPD meetings- Successful delivery of biological project proposal - several presentations & writing of Target Evaluation Data Package in collaboration with safety & clinical colleagues.- Active member of Lean Sigma improvement team

Major achievements- Completion of in vitro biology package leading to presentation of development candidate in the protein kinase area- Leading biology for advanced protein kinase project, motivating and co-ordinating multi-disciplinary project team and liasing with Bayer sites internationally. Reporting progress of the project to management in written reports and via oral presentations.Five years experience in respiratory mucus research - completed an industry-based PhD on mucin gel hydration (University of Nottingham). Five years inflammatory cell experience, particularly neutrophils & macrophages, & 3 years developing assays to study protein kinase cascades.
