I take patient superbills received from our hospital doctors, their office visits, their dialysis and botox centers, and input them directly into the billing program, EclinicalWorks or CollaborateMD. If a patient is not found in the system, then I go into the hospital using the citrix app on my work computer to find their facesheet which contains their very confidential information. Once I've placed a patient in the system, ran their claim, I send it to their insurance company via processing claims. Occasionally, I must call insurances to determine if a patient's procedure will be covered under their current policy, if the patient has met their deductible, and to ensure authorization.

Temporary position where I ran the front office: answered phones, made appointments, utilized pro-med and power chart to check in patients, collected payments, prepped bank deposits, and put in new patient information to ensure the office ran effectively and efficiently.
