Since 2010, Sara Strehle Duke has served as Executive Director of Encore Stage & Studio, the largest children’s theatre program in Northern Virginia. During her tenure, Encore more than quadrupled in size and now serves over 15,000 children and their families annually. Sara was recognized as one of the Washington region’s 40 Under 40 in 2015 by the Leadership Center for Excellence. She is a Board member for Embracing Arlington Arts, a graduate of Leadership Arlington, Class of 2014, and a dedicated volunteer with several youth serving organizations. Sara enjoys volunteering through her church and various community organizations. Previously, she worked for the Arden Theatre Company in Philadelphia and Round House Theatre in Bethesda. She is an accomplished director, choreographer, and improvisational actor, in addition to her passion for arts management. Sara is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the College of William & Mary where she directed and performed in many productions, as well as studying scenic design.
