As the Electronic Resources Librarian I evaluated and made recommendations for electronic resources and services for the library, this included databases, ebooks, the library web catalog and other online sources. On a day-to-day basis, I would troubleshoot electronic product issues, including access issues for patrons. I represented the Olathe Public Library on a committee with the Johnson County Library where we made joint decisions on electronic purchases. During this time, I also worked as a reference librarian on the public service desk providing information and reader's advisory services to the public.

As a reference librarian, I worked at the public service desk on a daily basis providing information and reader's advisory to patrons. I was responsible for collection development in a portion of the library's print collection. In this position, I also implemented a plan to network the CD-ROM products in the library's reference collection to provide better service for the customers. After networking the computers, I developed training materials for the customers on the products. I represented the adult services department on various committees throughout the library to provide input and to communicate information back to the department.
