I am passionate about helping people live their healthiest & happiest lives. As a personal trainer, people come to me with many goals in mind, and we work together to see how fitness can fit into their lives naturally. With a background in Special Populations,Biomechanics Method, and now Perinatal Health, I have had the opportunity to work with an 18 year old Paralympics athlete, to an 81 year old woman who wanted to gain strength so she would feel comfortable living alone. I have had the privilege to help many people through various ups and downs in their health and fitness journey, as well as life. I believe that exercise is a tool that everyone can use to help themselves live a healthier life, not only physically, but this movement helps with mental clarity as well. I have been a Silver Sneakers instructor, Barre Instructor, and a Girls on the Run Coach, seeing individuals through all stages of life has made me even more excited and energized to help the Perinatal population. My husband and I recently had our first child, and I couldn't believe the physical toll it took on me postpartum, and I was/am in great physical shape. It made me realize how many women go through this process without proper support & knowledge, so I have started a program to teach others what to expect & how to prepare for each trimester & beyond. These courses are designed to be in small groups so that not only do the participants gain knowledge and strength, but also community. My company focuses on holistic health, meaning that every piece of us needs to be in a good place to be truly healthy. Physical, Nutritional, Mental, Social, & Spiritual health are all pieces of the puzzle that we look at. When all of these pieces are in balance, we all thrive and are best suited to live the life we wish to live & do the activities we want to do. I teach my clients to listen to what their bodies need and to eat appropriately, not "diet." I try to help them see past the conventional norms of "no pain, no gain," to see what it is they need. Some days our bodies need rest & a stretch, others an intense workout is perfect. It is my duty and goal to help my clients understand when it is appropriate and when they can push themselves to meet the goals they have set, in a healthy balanced way.
