The Pyramid Club's volunteer experience has been enriching and transforming, centred on child development and the application of several psychological theories. I have seen experiential learning transform children's socio-emotional growth and well-being via direct engagement in a supportive atmosphere.Early intervention and therapeutic group work are central to the Pyramid Club concept, strictly correlated to attachment theory and cognitive-behavioural therapy. The clubs help children to develop life skills and resilience by targeting their emotional needs and providing structured activities in a supportive peer environment, reducing antisocial behaviour risk factors. These early intervention clubs also foster autonomy, self-expression, conflict resolution, and school-based socio-emotional competencies. This shows the importance of their existence in schools in preventing behavioural difficulties and improving mental health in children and adolescents.
