Over 30 years of experience as a teacher and writer of science-related materials, particularly chemistry and physics. I am presently writing a book explaining the science behind the symbolic and practical uses of salt in Jewish tradition. My interests and work extend to other areas, including feminist politics and speculative fiction. In the 1970's, my study of medical literature related to obesity, processed through the perspective of radical feminist politics, led me to write some of the earliest works of the fat liberation movement. Retiring from full-time classroom teaching in 2007, I began writing fantasies based on Jewish folklore and traditions. Meanwhile, I continue to tutor chemistry and physics.
