I enjoy solving unique data transformation puzzles and providing customers with efficient solutions. My primary toolkit consists of Alteryx to extract and manipulate the data before creating interactive and accessible visualizations in Tableau. I'm always thinking about how to optimize existing data flows, make the solution easier for the customer to use, use fewer resources, eliminate inconsistencies and strengthen the robustness of workflows.

My primary task in this role was to create fully interactive metrics dashboards in Tableau that give users control in tailoring the dashboards to meet their needs and preferences. To accomplish this, I also processed Excel and database data in Alteryx using complex formulas, Excel functions and Power Query to generate additional insights and prepare for integration with Tableau.To understand user needs, I conducted meetings with different teams to gather big picture objectives for metrics dashboards and refined objectives into detailed data source requirements. I then further collaborated with stakeholders to identify the available data sources. Finally, to succeed in this role, I managed conflicting projects ad priorities under tight deadlines.

My weekly tasks were essential to scheduling processes for different groups in the Halifax Shipyard. This includes updating the progress of work packages and determining the remaining hours for each work package. Other weekly tasks include creating a report for the upcoming week's work, producing a medium-term schedule forecast to alert the engineering and planning departments of work to be prepared and a floor plan analysis that helps the production department optimize the positioning of unit blocks in the context of any potential major block units moves. This analysis also helped ensure that the maximum amount of floor space was being used. Some of my longer term projects have included extensive maintenance on the integrated master schedule and project Gantt chart in Aveva. This included reviewing and amending the relationship logic between different activities and eliminating any obsolete activities to produce the correct build sequences. I also simulated various production scenarios to determine the feasibility of changes in activity completion orders and analyze the impact on the project's critical path.My different tasks have made me an integral part of my team, completing reports, visuals and other deliverables under tight deadlines while also participating in meetings with other departments.

I was responsible for serving a varied customer base including children of all ages as well as adults and seniors. This included organizing all food and beverage requirements for private events, compiling and processing event invoices and resolving customer service issues as needed to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

During this work term, I worked on several pre-development projects that were related to the viability of potential long-term future projects. I enjoyed working on detailed Aspen HYSYS simulation with hundreds of cases that explored the feasibility of various long distance tieback arrangements to prospect locations. I also researched the potential on the use of subsea waster injection and smart pigging technologies within Husky's offshore operations.

During my two work terms I completed several major projects. One major project was the preparation of a technical note analyzing the feasibility of changing the load shedding order in the Power Management System. Another major project was the creation of a Quick Pack detailing deliverables to decommission the LP Methanol Injection System. Other regular tasks included the monitoring of the Hydrogen Sulfide concentration to ensure wells do not turn sour and the monitoring of the Lean Tri-Ethylene Glycol percentage to prevent hydrate formation in the Gas Dehydration System. I also monitored the performance of the Printed Circuit Heat Exchangers to ensure their stability as well as provide support to process and mechanical engineers by using Aspen Process Explorer and Aspen HYSYS programs.

During this work term I was heavily involved in multiple aspects of the immersive safety culture for WorleyParsons at the Hebron project. I revised the Hebron Topsides Fitness for Work standard, participated in crisis simulations and reported positive and negative developments on the overall safety culture at the project. I was also fortunate to have the opportunity to contribute to the corporate fundraising for an United Way initiative.

During this work term a key achievement was the creation of a document that outlined the procedure of a quantified risk assessment. I was also actively involved in the facilitation of a key Initial Design Readiness Review (IDRR) for the Hibernia Ben Nevis Avalon project. Additionally I managed the tracking of personnel on board the Hibernia Southern Extension project on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

During three summers at Camp Whatchamacallit I regularly coordinated daily activities for 40 to 60 children between the ages of 5-12 while also personally supervising 10-15 children on a daily basis. I also collaborated with a team of counselors to develop activities that fulfilled both educational and fun goals.
