In the past jobs held, I gained valuable experience as a Segway tour guide for Omni Hotel & Resorts in Amelia Island, FL. After obtaining my Segway certification, I would work with the Naturalists to educate the guests about natural resources, plants, animals, and history about the island. It helped me develop skills to closely communicate with all ages from children through senior citizens about safety and assist any guests who were struggling. My name was mentioned many times on TripAdvisor and was even awarded by the hotel for the positive reviews. To gain experience working with animals, I volunteer at the animal shelter in the city that I’m living in. This includes Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control, Steuben County Animal Shelter, and Saint Augustine Humane Society. During high school, I was accepted in the teen volunteer program at Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo and job shadowed 40 hours under Dr. Matt Zimmer at Pokagon Animal Clinic in Angola, IN. Lastly, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking in my local preserves and parks, fishing, and traveling to visit national parks such as Cumberland Island, Indiana Dunes, Saikai National Park, and Oita hot spring trails in Japan. As of right now, I’m a teacher’s assistant at Carepointe Academy. I do have experience with administrative assisting during my internship at Brotherhood Mutual Insurance. The skills I had to utilize to be successful was entering data in a convenient matter for my manager and supervisor, aiding with projects with the other employees, and was even trusted by my manager for a big project that normally would not be given to an intern
