CurrentReview and approve or deny initial liability claims; analyze ongoing disability claims; request updated medical records and forms to review claimants’ restrictions and limitations; enter offsetable income and approve payment of benefits; regularly coordinate efforts with other departments and outside vendors. Was granted access to and became the team contact for the MDGuidelines system in November 2013. Acquired insurance licenses in Maine, New York, New Mexico, Kentucky, and Georgia in December 2013-January 2014. Became the designated LTD analyst for the policyholder Toyotetsu in March 2014. Served on the pilot team for the conversion to vWorkspace from October 2014-January 2015. Became one of three designated LTD analysts for Mark III brokerage policyholders in June 2015. Was trained in New Claim Assignments and performed this task as back-up assistance to the supervisor. Was recognized for my efficiency in 2016 and was placed on the Best Practices committee. In the years 2016 and 2017, lead the department in claim decision time. Was designated as an individual to which claims analyst working on the Voya account could have their claims reviewed for accuracy and suggestions. From 2013 to 2020, handled claims for America United Life, Kansas City Life, Boston Mutual Life, Always Care Benefits, Aflac, New York Life, and Voya. On 2/19/18, received a Performance Rating of 4 for the year 2017. In January 2018, was trained on the RightFax system and facilitated training for my team; facilitated refresher training in October 2019. Became a member of the BackTrack team in November 2019. From 2017 to 2020, served on the Fitness Committee, working to maintain and improve the company gym. In August 2019, represented DRMS at the Sea Dogs’ Diabetes Awareness Night. In October 2019, represented DRMS at STRIVE’s 15th Annual Live and Silent Auction. From 2020-present, handles claims for LifeMap and Companion Life and is the designated analyst for BCBS of SC claims.
