A senior manager of FMG’s Tenements & Acquisitions team whose task is to increase FMG’s iron ore resources base, support mining and infrastructure development approval processes, and effectively protect and manage the company’s current mining tenure assets. This involved management of over 900 WA tenements, negotiation of legal agreements, Native Title tenure and exploration strategy, budgeting, tenure acquisition, monitoring of industry and competitor activity, research and GIS tasks. Key achievements:• Acquired the largest tenement holding of any company in the Pilbara (~ 71,000 sqkms) with about 6.3 billion tonnes of Resources, including 1.6 billion tonnes of Reserves already delineated from less than 10 per cent of its total tenure holding.• Successfully managed and protected FMG’s tenure and associated Wardens court actions.• Effectively managed and trained staff within the team.

An initial member of FMG’s exploration team at the Cloudbreak prospect.Fly-in/fly-out role (2 weeks on – 1 week off) that involved supervision and management of RC drill rigs, field assistants and geological logging.One of the most successful exploration teams ever to conduct an exploration program in Australia. The team has delineated approximately 1.6 billion tonnes of Reserves in only five years.
