The Graduate Consulting Club is a student-run organization focused on helping graduate students prepare for careers in consulting through seminars and workshops, networking events, and consulting case projects. As VP of Operations, I was in charge of event planning and logistics for the club.

Doctoral Candidate in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Department of Veterinary Integrative Biosciences (VIBS) at Texas A&M University and student in the Interdisciplinary Toxicology Program. As a student in Dr. Timothy Phillips' laboratory and a trainee in the Superfund Research Program (SRP), my research focused on the mitigation of exposures to environmental chemicals. We developed novel, broad-acting sorbents for chemicals that humans and animals may be exposed to during an environmental disaster. More specifically, I worked on developing carbonaceous and clay-based sorbents that can be used to reduce the bioavailability of chemicals from soil and reduce translocation of chemicals to plants.

Tone 360 is the largest group fitness studio in the Bryan/College Station area offering a range of classes for all ages and fitness levels. I led group Pilates and barre classes 3 - 5 times a week and regularly developed challenging and innovative exercise programming.

I worked as a project intern in the Chemical Threat Analysis Lab (LRN-C) at the Texas DSHS. The Chemical Threat Lab has diverse clinical and environmental testing capabilities and is involved in incident preparations as well as training and outreach. I completed an ICP-MS clinical method validation study for the determination of multiple toxic elements in urine. I also assisted in an emergency response drill with the Army CBRNE Response Team.

Albion Environmental delivers high quality analytical chemistry, consulting, and applied research solutions to the environmental, industrial, and human health marketplaces. As manager of the clean-room laboratory, I performed various laboratory tasks including cleaning and shipping of clean metals and mercury sampling equipment, sample receipt and tracking, quality control procedures, and records management. I gained experience with low-level mercury and trace metal testing and laboratory clean-room procedures.

I conducted an environmental and occupation risk assessment a rural Kenyan village. I assisted with the development of public health outreach programs and short and long-term goals for KVCDP.I developed, funded, and implemented a community development project focused on waste management and sanitation and sustainable housing for a family of 5.
