Hello! I grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia, so this area is very near and dear to my heart. I love the forests there, and exploring the woods at my house as a child is a warm memory I still carry with me. I lived in Virginia Beach next for about 7 years, and grew ever so fond of the marshes there along with the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay. I am a recent graduate from the College of William & Mary, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Science & Policy. I love getting the opportunity to learn whatever I can about the natural world around us, so I joined the Virginia Master Naturalists while in college, the Historic Rivers Chapter specifically, in volunteering to promote the health of the environment on William & Mary's campus. I worked on invasive plant removals and monitoring bluebird nest boxes, which I adored since I get to learn more about plant ID and also get to work with birds, since birds have been a special interest of mine since I was in 7th grade.
