Diakonia's goal is to change unfair political, economic, social and cultural structures that generate poverty, oppression and violence. At Diakonia's department for policy and advocacy, we create specific proposals for how policies in Sweden and the EU can be improved, not simply criticism on what we think is wrong. My part in this great work is to create innovative and strategic campaigns that changes these structures, on both Swedish and EU levels, and to engage young people to be part of this mission.

SE Forum promotes social entrepreneurs who work with innovative solutions from all around the globe to improve some of society’s most pressing problems. As a board member at SE Forum, I was responsible for promotional events, as well as coordinating our membership programme.

As Coordinator for Education and Volunteers at Fairtrade, I was responsible for planning and developing Fairtrade’s training program for volunteers. The job involved planning and implementing training seminars and workshops, creating inspiring material for volunteers, writing reports, motivating and keeping contact with volunteers.Good qualities for this job were being inspirational, having the ability to plan and being able to take initiatives.

As an Office Assistant, I was primarily responsible for answering the phone and replying to emails. I was also responsible for organizing conferences and meetings. This roll required good management skills.
