I am a Dean’s Hess Family scholar and MPH student at Columbia University in the Sociomedical Sciences Department. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arizona majoring in Public Health with an emphasis in Global Health. I plan to work closely with public health programs to ensure the provision of culturally competent and community driven health care. With my experiences in leadership I am hopeful to sustain a working environment that is conducive to individual and community growth. Through my time in different fields of public health including health promotion, health literacy, and health policy I continue to learn about the many facets playing into individual and population health outcomes. I look forward to entering any new workspace with the excitement to provide any skills that can be helpful while also allowing myself to learn from those who I work with. Public Health, like many other fields, is ever changing. I plan to complete a Masters in Public Health following the completion of my Bachelor's Degree and then plan to work immediately in the field.
